This is a school magazine that I found which is quite simple. It has a
big, black, bold title; this
implies a serious and straight to the point school. Although, she is smiling this
does show the fun side and make it appear enjoyable while still looking smart
with her hair out of her face.
The slogan sounds very smart by using words such as 'insight' that make
it appear intelligent which could reflect the school and how it makes the
students.
By saying 'Uniform yes or no?' it involves the audience and makes them
feel more as though their opinion matters and get them actually thinking about
what they really think and why, therefore more interested.
The advertisement is there to ‘bribe’ the audience into wanting the
magazine. This is a typical technique used in magazines, especially those
aiming at a younger audience as people like material things.
Personally I don't think that this is a very successful magazine as it
is very plain and the use of black and white makes it feel old and wouldn't
really appeal to the audience of students. It also doesn't really stick to the
idea of all of the sell lines being on the right side, this makes it look quite
disorganised and messy. It is also uninteresting appearance wise meaning it
wouldn’t attract a reader very well.
